2015 Scholarship Award Winner - Ms. Grace Ditch
Grace Ditch was introduced and awarded a $3,000 Scholarship at the August 24th meeting at Wasco Nursery. Grace, a 2015 graduate of St. Charles High School East, will attend the University of Minnesota and pursue a major in Forestry and Natural Resource Management.

There were 10 very qualified applicants applying for the scholarship this year. Grace thanked the Pottawatomie Garden Club for the scholarship and our support of her goal to someday work with the U.S. Forest Service or National Park Service. Grace has always had a love of the outdoors, enjoying either work or recreational activities. A well-rounded student and member of the National Honor Society with a 4.938 GPA, Grace also participated in high school theater productions and was voted captain of the girls swim and dive team in which she participated for 4 years. Community volunteer activities for Grace included serving at Hesed House as a breakfast server, and church mission trips during the summer to impoverished Appalachia.
